The native W2K SB Live drivers are SMP-compliant. W2K will install them when it detects the card...

Yep,

I've got those built-in drivers working, what I'd like to know is if there is a Liveware version that could work in SMP as I see everywhere that Liveware3 NT won't work on SMP machines.

Thanks

Hello,

Did you encounter some problems after installing win2k on a SMP system? I found my system's CPU utilization is really high, but there is no other processes running...

After I check the Interrupt/Sec, my god! About 110,000 interrupts occur per second! Is it normal? or abnormal? Please tell me your system's info. Thanks!

My equipment:
Asus P2B-D with Dual P!!!-450, 256MB RAM,
G400 SH, AHA-2940UW Dual/NE, SB Live!, 3Com 905B NIC...

There isn't a version of the hacked NT4 LiveWare drivers that will work on SMP W2K...that's why all the posts in forum say it won't work.

Creative may have some native W2K Liveware drivers, but if so, they're not saying.

well YuppieScum,

I'll just wait a few more days then. Thanks anyway.

YCSU,

no problem at all for me but I don't have the same config. However a friend of mine has also a P2B-D with dual pII400 and it seems to work fine. He also has the same SCSI controller as you.Did you try to re-install ??

Rgds

This may sound wierd, but has anyone ever heard any sound from their rear speakers in Win2k using the SB Live! drivers that came with Win2k? I set the thing for 4 speakers but nothing. Hmmm...
