DVD in Win2k causes lockup
This is a discussion about DVD in Win2k causes lockup in the Windows Hardware category; I have Windows 2000 Pro installed. everything works except my DVD-ROM. it's a DRDVD840. . . (Digital Research) when ever go to use the drive for anything it causes an entire system crash. . . It's slave on my secondary UDMA/66 controller.

Do you have the latest ASPI layer?
I think ASPI Layer has something to do with DVDROM as well. Can anyone confirm this?
