Ensoniq/Creative Sound Blaster 64 PCI

This is a discussion about Ensoniq/Creative Sound Blaster 64 PCI in the Windows Hardware category; I have never been able to get the mic working in Win2k in any build, and am wondering if Microsoft just doesn't know how to make the drivers for my card or what. If anyone has any ideas as to how I may get my mic working, I'd be much oblidged.

Is your mic working...
in win9x?, not muted, volume up, gain boosted
and record volume set to all or mic (if using the creative mixer)or the select box ticked in the recording section of the volume controls.

If so then try the updated drivers at the microsoft windows update site!

PS i,ve never got mine to work, but i don't have a PC mic, I use a real one.

Good luck.

OP
Yes, my mic works in Win9x. Perfectly.
I've never been able to get mine working in Win2k. It is a PC mic, one you'd get with your sound card or buy in a PC store. I am using just the standard volume control that Win2k offers, there is no selection to make the mic the only recording equipment.
