Error message after tweaking my system (Win2k Pro)
This is a discussion about Error message after tweaking my system (Win2k Pro) in the Customization Tweaking category; I read about some tweaks at I set the services Server, Computer Browser and Messenger to manual. All other services that are mentioned were already set to manual by default. Since I did this, I get an error in my Windows 2000 error logbook, which I'm 100% sure was not there before.
I read about some tweaks at http://www.tweak3d.net/tweak/win2kmem/2.shtml. I

Since I did this, I get an error in my Windows 2000 error logbook, which I'm
100% sure was not there before. It;'s the well-known "Couldn't read info
from NBT Device" (Rough translation from Dutch. Source is 'perfctrs').
So this has happened after I changed the settings. I put them all back to
'Automatic", but the error persists.
I had this error before, but since I recently reinstalled Win2k (from
scratch), it never appeared again. Now, it's back...
Any solutions, other than the often suggested loopback adapter fix? After
all, I didn't need that before I tried to tweak the system... :-(
