ESS sound card
This is a discussion about ESS sound card in the Windows Hardware category; I have a laptop (prostar) with a ESS 1869 sound card in it. Currently it is using the standard Microsoft drivers for it. The only problem is there is no sound. Sound worked fine in windows 98 but not in 2000.

Go to ESS's web site (not sure what it is) then download ESS drivers for Windows 2000 if they don't have any then grab the NT4 drivers they ought to work.
