Event 43 when starting Windows 2000
This is a discussion about Event 43 when starting Windows 2000 in the Windows Software category; I get the following error in the Application Event log on both my home and work PC: Event Type: Error Event Source: WinMgmt Event Category: None Event ID: 43 Date: 04/09/2000 Time: 10:10:35 User: N/A Computer: XXX Description: WMI ADAP failed to connect to namespace \\.
I get the following error in the Application Event log on both my home and work PC:

WMI ADAP failed to connect to namespace \\.\root\cimv2\MS_809 with the following error: 0x8004100e
The above is from my work PC. According to the Microsoft Knowledgebase, there is a solution, but it is only for the Simplified Chinese version, and you have to contact MS.

I have all the latest service packs, hotfixes, compatibility updates and so-on.
I don't think this error is causing me any problems, but it'd be nice to get rid of it.
