I order all my fans from them, and haven't been let down yet. Shipping is pretty reasonable, too....

Contact you local utilities/power supplier, to check whether you neighbourhood can handle the increase in power consumption. And that you don't break any regulations.

Rememeber, the athlon chips are blowtorches which require adequate cooling. Check out amd's web site, they have more info.

I now have 3 80mm fans(2 high output from the 2cooltek site), and the power supply fan. I'm still looking for a 60mm fan.
 
the non-high output fan is above the power supply blowing out,
 
1 high output fan is in the front, blowing out
 
and the last high output fan is on the side, blowing in on the cpu and the AGP and top PCI cards.
 
This, in combination with the CPU fan, and the GeForce fan have dropped my mobo temp from 115 degrees to 95.
 
Quick question--should the fan on the front blow in the case, or out...and the fan on the side--in or out?

You may have mis-configured you fans!
 
It is logical to have a smooth air flow within the PC. To do this air goes IN at the bottom, convects heat and rises to the top, (its best to have the case upright, if possible). At the top its sucked out by fans.
 
If the side fan faces upwards, (Desktop case configuration), then as the fan is at the highest most point, air flow is outwards. Should the case be set up as a tower, then in my opinion its best not to use it. However all these sad overclockers (people who spend insane ammounts for an increase of 5%!) will be turning in their grave. Go on! Block it up, I dare you to be normal.
 
Think of a smoke trail going through your PC. Flowing from the bottom to the top. Its not how much air you can squeeze in (or vacuum out in your case (literally!) ) But how smooth the air is moved throught the case. Whats the point if air goes in the top right side, and sucked out the top left? And in the middle, there's a vortex of air that hardly ever gets changed, going round and round.
 
Too be honest, the noise from the fans will eventually annoy you. You really only need 2 case fans. One in the PSU!, and one below it blowing outwards, usually on atx boards it will right next to the CPU. If you want good cooling, make a hood that channels the air off the CPU to the fan outlet.

Ok..the new situation with it(as of last night), has become
 
Side fan(FULL TOWER) is blowing out.
Top fan in back(above Power Supply) is blowing OUT
Bottom fan-in front is sucking IN.
 
I still need a 60 mm fan for the "exhaust", as that's the one place I DON'T have one--but I tore out an 80mm from my 486's Power Supply...may play with it.
 
the sound doesn't bother me...My computers seldom run open, and when it's closed up, it quiets down real well
 
I haven't done any overclocking--everything is running at its normal speed.
 
I just don't like my mobo running at 113 degrees, when I can have it below 100.

Place the fan at the very top of the case where the CPU is. That way the main source of heat will be removed before it even gets a chance to rise. Anything else will be removed by the PSU FAN, plus a little dead bit up top.
 
For the fan outlet nearest to the CPU make a hood that collects the air being passed through the heat sink, and/or fans. That is how it is on a new very fast Dell, I happened to be opening at the time.
 
If the side fan is below the CPU, its pretty much not much use blowing out in tower config. Basically air is sucked in the bottom, and goes out the side. When the case is its side, hot air collects in a stagnant area at the top. This is when we have the side fan blowing out.
 
If you really must have a side fan in tower config (sigh), then set to draw inwards, just make sure the intake and exaust levels are balanced. (number of fans, air flow capacity etc. No point having a tiny intake, and huge exhaust fans )

Oh, by the way the reduction in temperature you were wanting, will only suffice to prolong the life of you CPU by another year (if lucky) on top of its expected 25 years or so. ... as long as its not taken into space.
 
Did I say I've been through 3 K6-2's in 2 years? No ammount of fans saved them.

There are 2 fans at the top, blowing out
 
the side fan is blowing onto the heatsink--but I can't really show that with that diagram

It came installed with the side fan...hole cut out by factory
 
My Compaq has a hood, and I'm trying to find one that will work for it. I need one that just goes straight back

TWO fans should blow IN, ONE fan should blow OUT.

Same volume of air going in should go out as well. If there is a difference between them, you will effectively have the volume of the lesser vent (intake or exhaust).

If the diagram is screwed sorry. Basically its like this, have the 80MM on the botom front blowing COLD AIR IN to the case.
The 80MM fan on the side also needs to blow COLD AIR IN onto (or near to) the CPU and Graphics Card.
The 60MM (are you sure its only 60MM??) should blow HOT AIR OUT away from the CPU.
The 80MM above the PSU should blow HOT AIR OUT as well. If your system still runs hot, you might look into gettin a 5.25 bay cooler that could blow COLD AIR IN from one of the 5.25 drive bays.
