It will have two 'unknown' multimedia devices before you install the drivers.

firstly, use the driver update wizard to install the new drivers you just downloaded from http://www.lifeview.com.tw.

secondly, reboot and open your device manager. It will show two multimedia devices with exclaimataion marks over them. Ignore that.

thirdly, run the setup.exe in the files you previously downloaded. Then set it up for your country. Try both preview and overlay mode. I'm WinNT at the moment so can't remember which one works.

fourthly, do your usual channel scan and it "should" work. At least mine did. Just ignore the fact that the device manager says it doesn't work.

So you know, my rig under w2k is

p2 300
160mb pc100 ram
6gb WD HD
2x1.5gb segate HD
8mb i740
SB Live Value (works perfectly)
realtek 8029 nic
aztech 3858w internal modem
Flyvideo '98
Accton 1660 nic
