I assume the problem is with registry keys, i installed (eg Falcon4 and Theme park world) and they work fine in administrator but on booting to a normal user, no such luck as they complain about no registry variables and request CD for reinstallation etc.
Anyone offer any tips on getting round this or how to manually port reg settings ?

I believe this was a limitation in NT in general. I think that Microsoft changed it a bit for Windows 2000 to let members of the "Power Users" group install software.

That isnt really the trouble, the problem is when installing stuff it puts registry entries in one place which then arent there when you change users so the game doesnt work.
IE install a game with "Run As Administrator" wont work with any other user due to reg entries.
Some games install as power user but others still require admin to install
