Gamma correction for Quake 3

This is a discussion about Gamma correction for Quake 3 in the Windows Hardware category; Am I just blind, or is there no gamma correction under Q3 and W2K. This really sucks because the game is so dark you can't even play. I have a Geforce card. Is there a fix or what?.

Just:

Use the command r_ignorehwgamma 1
then use r_gamma * to set the gamma

Just download Powerstrip version 2.6 and install it under win2k. You can adjust your gamma, brightness, etc under this tool. You can also have it load at startup and change your gamma to a preset value. I use it and all games and apps work just fine. I don't have darkness problems anymore.

Try www.download.com or www.hotfiles.com and do a search for it.
