Can´t get DMA with my cd-rom and burner
This is a discussion about Can´t get DMA with my cd-rom and burner in the Windows Hardware category; They work fine with win98 in DMA mode. Now win2k autodetects pio mode, and if I select use DMA if available the system reboots and hangs. I must use the repair setup. Using a Gigabyte 7IX mobo (AMD Irongate).

Hey thanks! Actually I never could find an AMD 756 IDE driver for win2k, and reading your post I went to AMD site and finally they have a busmaster win2k compatible driver v 1.32 dated August 2k...
Installed it and it runs fine in DMA mode now!
Thanks again
