Getting 4 Speakers w/SB-Live & win2k?

This is a discussion about Getting 4 Speakers w/SB-Live & win2k? in the Windows Games category; My friend has a SB-Live Value running Win2k prof. He just got some brand spankin' new Klipsch Promedia v. 400s and can only get 2 speaker support. Are there any drivers out for the Live that give it 4 speaker support? I checked Creative's website and nothing is listed under 2000 drivers or beta drivers.

The problem is not the drivers. First of all, make sure you have the liveware for windows 2000 installed, then go to your audio hq settings, select the speaker option, and at the top right hand of this window is an icon that marks "digital" output. Make sure Digital output is OFF. That is what's causing it. As soon as you turn it off you will get the 4 speakers. I had this same problem with my altec lansing speakers.

Hope this helps.
