Grim Fandango Dx5
This is a discussion about Grim Fandango Dx5 in the Windows Games category; What's up guys, got a quick question. I searched the board already, but i don't anyone else has this prob: grim fandango is always trying to install Dx5 in my win2k (2195) system whenever i try to run it.

got a quick question. I searched the board already, but i don't anyone else has this prob: grim fandango is always trying to install Dx5 in my win2k (2195) system whenever i try to run it.
any ideas on how to cancel it? If i press don't install, it goes back to windows, and if i try to run the game it tries to install dx5. <sigh>

the program you're running is just a Lucas Arts loader program, if you look in one of the subdirectories, there should be a executable just for Grim Fandango, I don't have the game myself, so I can't help with the actual file you need, but I had the same problem with Jedi Knight
DX5 should not install over top of DX7 even if you choose to install it, if a game is for DX5 it will work under DX7 as well.
