Half Life / D3d?

This is a discussion about Half Life / D3d? in the Windows Games category; I have a TNT2 Ultra, with 3. 78 nvidia drives Trying to play Halflife online, when I have it set to D3d , 1024, it freezes. Software mode, ti works fine. ANy idea why this is?.

My question is why the hell aren't you running the game in OpenGL? The game engine was designed to run in OpenGL.
