I got my retail Porsche Unleashed yesterday. I immediately updated it, (ver 3.4) and then deleted gimme.dll and replaced Porsche.exe with one from http://www.megagames.com in order to make the game run in win2k.

The problem is when I try to connect to internet games on EA Racing and sign in using my account, I get the message "The host of this game is running a different version", and can go no further.

Has anyone been able to connect to internet racing using win2k, and if so, can you please explain exactly how you did it and what cracked .exe you used to run the game?

Thanks.

OP
The first thing I had tried after up[censored] the game was running it with the new EA .exe.

It won't work on my system. I still get the one gig caching problem. The only way the game will run is with a cracked .exe, but that results in a version conflict when trying to play internet multiplayer on EA racing.

I have a TNT Ultra, which is probably the reason I need a cracked .exe to run the game at all.
