WIN2K: scsi card detected, scanner detected, hp software sees the scanner but is not available. anyone got an Idea?.

Okay, weird thing:

WIN98: scsi card detected, scanner detected, hp scanjet software works fine.

WIN2K: scsi card detected, scanner detected, hp software sees the scanner but is not available.

anyone got an Idea?
