Hollywood + DXR3 + w2k = AC3 problems
This is a discussion about Hollywood + DXR3 + w2k = AC3 problems in the Windows Hardware category; I installed the hollywood+ beta drivers, the nt4 drivers, then the applications (DVDstation and Encore player). On both the DVDstation and Encore player, my AC3 is screwed. Out of synch by a fraction of a second, on ALL my movies.

On both the DVDstation and Encore player, my AC3 is screwed. Out of synch by a fraction of a second, on ALL my movies. It works fine on w98. PCM sound is in-synch with the video.
Any ideas?

Yup, it is a known problem with both the Win2k and NT drivers.
The odds of them releasing new drivers and fixing the bug is quite low, they have already quoted 3 driver release dates and pushed them all back, I personally believe that they are doing very little work on the drivers whatsoever...
I pulled mine out and I now use WinDVD.

Yeah, the DXR3 drivers are crap too.
