HP 7550i CD-RW Drivers for Win2k

This is a discussion about HP 7550i CD-RW Drivers for Win2k in the Windows Hardware category; I am trying to get my HP 7550i CD-RW burning under Win2k. The HP site is charging $25 for the upgrade to the Adaptec EZ CD Software that came with it but I was never very impressed with this, so I'd rather not cough-up the little bit of cash for an upgrade.

Has anyone had success with other burning software and a HP 7500 series internal CD-RW on Win 2k? If it helps, I use the drive for about 50% audio CD creation, and 50% file archiving.

Hey, I have a HP 7570i CDR and I had a hell of a lot of trouble getting it going, anytime I'd write a cd I got 2 seconds worth of usable audio then hissing for the rest of the cd. But today I found that the guys that make Nero have released an aspi driver that works I've written 2 cds today that work fine so check it out www.nero.com

Fabulous! Thanks - I 've heard of Nero but never tried it. I'll give it a shot.
