I need suggestions regarding the pauses I get in Win2K Pro

This is a discussion about I need suggestions regarding the pauses I get in Win2K Pro in the Windows Software category; The whole comp pauses ( everything stops ) momentariliy for 1 or 2 seconds often when I browse or when I play Starcraft on battle. net Any ideas?.
