IE 5.5 slower??
This is a discussion about IE 5.5 slower?? in the Windows Hardware category; After reading on Betanews about people experiencing faster loading of webpages with IE 5. 5 Final, I was disappointed to see that it's noticably slower on my machine. I also think there's a memory leak or something because just watching the IExplore process in Win2k, I can see the memory usage rise incredibly quickly.

I used IE 5.5 beta and i am now using final and i have found that they are both fasrer than 5.01 and i like the print preview feature.
I had suspicions about a memory leak with the beta too. The beta would crash (badly) about every 5 minutes. It was very unstable. At least it unstalled properly I downloaded 5.5. at work and it seems ok, but slow. However it is a p200 I'm not going to install it until its on a CD at home.
