Hi guys I have:
Dual Pentium II 450
128PC-100 RAM
Intellieye USB
USB keyboard
Sound Blaster Live
TNT2 Ultra
Promise Ultra DMA 66 controller
3COM 10/100Mbit 3XP processor
I don't know if it's the soundblaster live or the harddrive that locks up my system in Q3A. I run SMP mode and reboot and it runs fine for a few hours then it just locks up when it's loading a level, it doesn't happen when I am playing in the game only when it is loading the map, sound, models etc. Can someone please help me? I am on the latest drivers(beta) at the moment. Thanks guys

Did your computer find your SB Live? I have SMP and all it lists is"unknown multimedia device" and no mention of the SB live. If not what did you do to load it? I can't seem to get any sound out of my sb live which works fine in W98
what builder do you have
it on the decktop the number on the rigth side bottom of screen

I had soundblaster Live (model 1024) as of RC2 on my duel Celeron366 @ 550 and it worked with no problems. THe drivers are available with RC2 and later but if u have model 1024 or later go here for drivers: http://win2kbox.8m.com/files.htm
Only the front channel worked on the Live so as off build 2195 I went back to my MX300

Autoxer, Windows 2000 RC3 detected my sound blaster live. When I was in RC2 it did not detect it. So I deleted the whole multimedia devices in device manager. Then I rebooted and it got detected again. Make sure you use the drivers on the CD. If this doesn't work let me know
SHS I have build 2183 ( I think you're asking Autoxer, I am not sure )
Igore, I have no idea in determining what model number I have. But I know it's the really early ones because I bought it when it first game out and replaced my MX200 with it I don't know if it's the sound or the hardware that is causing the lock ups.
