This is a discussion about Is w2k final worth installing ? in the Windows Games category; im running an old rc2 beta. . . i just want to mainly know if the game support is any better on the final release (professional) then any of the betas?.

well, in my opinion (yes my opinion so no one argue saying I'm wrong!!) I think that game performance seems only slightly better. BUT I've been having a hell of a time getting my tnt2 working properly! The drivers have gotten alot better, well for some of my hardware anyhows. Each system is different so ask peeps who have a similar setup.
the newer buidls are definately faster and more reliable than RC2, so I do however recommend an upgrade to Final if you can get your hands on it.

yeah im gonna start upgrading after i backup some stuff.
would it be wise to just do a new registry backup (full backup of entire registry) then import it after i upgrade? or just weed through the registry for those important registry entries?

if you really have anything important that you have modified I would, But otherwise, don't bother. I don't
