K6/2 and Win2K problem
This is a discussion about K6/2 and Win2K problem in the Windows Hardware category; I am having a problem with my processor speed and Win2k pro. I installed Win2k on my system and it detects my processor as about 250 mhz. I have a 450 mhz processor @500 so it is running half speed. I don't get it.

I have a 450 mhz processor @500 so it is running half speed. I don't get it. Im not sure if this decreases the actual performance or not as I run games a lot and they don't seem to slow down..(Some are even faster under Win2k)
Here's a breakdown of my system specs...
Giga-Byte GA-5AX Rev 4.1 mobo flashed to F3(ALi chipset)
AMD K6/2 450@500
13gb WD HDD
192mb PC-100 CAS-2 RAM
SB Live X-Gamer
Realtek 8139 NIC
SupraMax 56k PCI
Toshiba DVD
Memorex 4224 CD-RW
PLENTY of cooling.
I have tried clocking the processor down to 450 but it was still cut in half for some odd reason. I dunno what to do...
Any help would be appreciated..
