Leaked Liveware 2k problems

This is a discussion about Leaked Liveware 2k problems in the Windows Hardware category; I can install everything fine. but when my system reboots. it keeps rebooting for some reason. it will boot up i see the win2k pro screen but seems like around the time the default windows startup sound is gonna start my comp crashes.

I can install everything fine. but when my system reboots. it keeps rebooting for some reason. it will boot up i see the win2k pro screen but seems like around the time the default windows startup sound is gonna start my comp crashes. i never even get a chance to see my desktop. I have a SBlive Value all my other hardware shouldnt matter i have no conflicts or shared IRQ's checked already.

Hello Kaos, Well to me it sounds like you have another hardware problem other then the SBLive, I have the SBLive Value as well and I don't have that problem, (though my mouse and network card do share the same damn IRQ for some reason). Anyway if you have a dual boot system setup like most of us seem to have, then my suggestion would be to boot to 98 and then restart the W2K install and then choose to have it repair the installation, and to let the installation do the repair work all on it's own since you and probably the rest of us wouldn't know what is causing that. That should take care of any prob's you might have. Also if I were you I would post your system spec's to the board here, there may be another solution to the problem other then the one I suggested from someone else here on the board.
 
Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but perhaps if you try the later of my problem solver you might be able to fix it another way.

I got the same prob of reboot.
 
I find the solution. Delete the devcon32.dll
in dos (with a boot disk) and reboot
 
No more reboot after reinstalling liveware
