left panel in a file browse window

This is a discussion about left panel in a file browse window in the Windows Hardware category; The small file browse that comes up say when you are looking for a new song from within winamp (it's in other places also) has the huge left menu with like desktop my comp buttons and so on, how does one go about removing this blasted thing? Thanks
