liveware 2000 problems with mediaplayer
This is a discussion about liveware 2000 problems with mediaplayer in the Windows Hardware category; i installed liveware 200 the other day and i noticed that every time i play a mpeg file the audio and the video skips 1 second a couple of times a minute. . does anyone else have this problem?? is there any workarounds or is it just going back to the standard w2k drivers??? my system is a: dual celeron 400 on a bp6 ...

This is the DMA buffer problem that I mentioned previously. You can resort to the standard Win2K drivers, or wait it out till it gets fixed.
However, this might actually be an MS problem, not a Creative issue. I am assuming it will be fixed in LiveWare 4.

found a workaround for this in the mean time...
just go into dxdiag and select basic acceleration under the sound tab...
does anyone know the difference between full, standard and basic acceleration???
selecting basic accelerations fixes the mediaplayer bug...
