Live!Ware 3.0 question

This is a discussion about Live!Ware 3.0 question in the Windows Hardware category; Does anyone got AC3 (SP/DIF) out to work with any software DVD decoders??? With Cinemaster 2000 the option is not selectable and WinDVD 2. 0 outputs nothing! I hate Creative Labs for that! FoLLgoTT.

No.

Creative explicity says hardware passthrough is only supported on Win9X, not NT or 2K. Although, it could show up in a future driver update, and it probably will.

From their FAQ.

Q12. Does "Live!Ware 3.0 for Windows 2000" support AC-3 pass-thru?

A. No, "Live!Ware for Windows 2000" does not support AC-3 pass-thru. Currently, the feature is only supported in Live!Ware 3.0 for Windows 95/98.

I am able to use AC3 ... always have! I'm using SBLive and Dxr3 decoder for my DVD ... also using PC-DVD to play my DVD's ... AC3 works fine, and even AC3 passthrough!
