This is a discussion about Maxi Gamer Cougar and tnt2 m64 in the Windows Hardware category; Help Me. . I have a maxigamer cougar with the nvidia tnt2 m64 chipset. I've tried all the new nvidia drivers. I even tried the mixing nv4_mini. sys from the 3. 66 drivers with the 3. 78 drivers. Any game i try to play either locks up or restarts my computer.

Any game i try to play either locks up or restarts my computer. If i even run one of the opengl ss's it reboots my computers. If anyone has any ideas please post.
Thanks

I suppose you have a Super Socket 7 system, probably with an ALi Alladin V chipset.
Wait for a new driver, now you can disable the Direct3D options and wait

Try the drivers from www.joytech.com, they worked for me when i had W2K installed. No AGP support shown in DXDIAG, but Powerstrip showed it as enabled at 2x (!?)...whatever.
And YES, I have an Alladin V and a TNT2
