Memory useage with Word 97 Problems??

I have constantly running in my sys tray McAfees Virus scan, memturbo, sound, and stay connected. But when I load up Word 97, after a couple of seconds it says I do not have enough conventional memory.

Having a few memory problems with Win2k. Basically have a AMD450 Mhz with 128 SDRAM system. I have constantly running in my sys tray McAfees Virus scan, memturbo, sound, and stay connected. But when I load up Word 97, after a couple of seconds it says I do not have enough conventional memory. I try and close down some services but it keeps saying most are critical so access denied. This only happens with Word.
Any ideas,
