This is a discussion about microsoft cordless phone driver in the Windows Hardware category; can someone please help me get win 2000 drivers for this phone. i bought it yesterday and i love it, but i do not use my win 98 partition anymore and dont want to install it there. if microsoft will support this under w2000 can anyone get me the driver, any driver that win2000 will recognize for this phone.

I know absolutely nuffin about em, but have you tried NT4 drivers, if any??
Doesnt sound like you have even plugged the phone in? try installing it and trying it out and seeying what's up! you could get lucky, and you never know how those win2k native drivers might work if there are any which you will soon find out, but try everything and give us as much feedback as possible right here.

OP
i have already confirmed that there are no drivers on the Win2000 cd for the cordless phone, it says on the box it WILL NOT work for nt 4.0. i need to know if they will lift that band on nt products and send me a beta driver so my phone's software will work for win 2k

According to an MS "insider" who posts on 2cpu.com, the phone group don't have a w2k driver and won't for a while yet - and have been slapped around for it.

OP
please send me a link to that article because i cant find it on the the site. who is the reliable source of yours and why cant they also tell microsoft to send phone users a special driver for it?

If you'd bothered with anything beyond the front page, you'd find that one of the main contributers "J C Lane" works for MS, and it was his article, posted in the discussion forum some weeks ago, that mentioned the lack of a W2K driver.
Have you bothered trying to get a driver from MS, junior?
