This is a discussion about Might & Magic 8 in the Windows Games category; When i try to run any of the exe files for MM8 i get this error message The procedure entry point MakeCriticalSectionGlobal could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32. dll Has someone else gotten this error? I'm using win2k and i740 driver, any help would be appreciated.

still waiting for a reply, a solution.
I had the same problem, I noticed one thing, if you go into 'control panel' and then 'multi-media' properties, and turn down the hardware acceleration for your audio device, the game works fine. I just don't have environmental audio with the game now :<. Come on 3DO, Smarten up!!!
