Mixer Icon missing!

This is a discussion about Mixer Icon missing! in the Windows Hardware category; I went through the Liveware 3 installation for Win2k (The one by Anthony Toste), and after it didn't work, tried to return to the old Win2k Basic WDM drivers. The sound is working again, but that little speaker button which usually sits beside the clock at the bottom right hand side of the screen is gone.

I went through the Liveware 3 installation for Win2k (The one by Anthony Toste), and after it didn't work, tried to return to the old Win2k Basic WDM drivers. The sound is working again, but that little speaker button which usually sits beside the clock at the bottom right hand side of the screen is gone. There looks to be a space for it (as if windows WANTS to put it there) but there's no icon. Anyone know how I'd get it back?
