Motherboard Question
This is a discussion about Motherboard Question in the Windows Hardware category; I am going to be upgrading the motherboard and CPU on my computer. Right now I am running Win2000. Do you think it would be OK to just swap the motherboard and cpu and boot up? Or do you think there will be problems with the HAL? Any ideas? TIA.

I would recommend that you re-run the install of the cd after you insert the new mobo/cpu. This way will cause the least problems.
to do this: boot off the cd, 'enter' to continue, 'F8' I agree, the 'R' to repair the existing installation. You will not lose any of your programs this way.
