MS IntelliMouse Explorer Software

This is a discussion about MS IntelliMouse Explorer Software in the Windows Hardware category; I want to get the extra two buttons working on my MS IntelliMouse Explorer mouse but it won't let me install the IntelliPoint software for it saying I need Win9x, or NT 4. 0 to install it. Any Ideas?.

Well know what is so cool about this forum...is the ability to search. This way you dont go and post a topic that was answered a long time ago. Your lucky Im in a good mood because I will tell you how.

you goto the setup directory on the CD then type in setup -win2000

The search function has been missing for a few days now. Or else I'm blind.

Just a little correction:
It's 'setup.exe win2000', not -win2000

One thing about this thread that confused me at first... It is the INTELLIMOUSE disc, not the w2k cd you need to run setup from. duh...

"<CDpath>\setup\setup.exe win2000"

Hope this helps future inquiries (who are as slow as I am...)
