MS Sidewinder GamePad
This is a discussion about MS Sidewinder GamePad in the Windows Hardware category; I would like to know if there is any way to make your Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad work with Windows 2000 (i have build 2195) I have tried downloading that little Configsw. exe file but it does absolutely nothing.

Go to control panel;
double click on "Game controllers"
click on "add"
scroll down to the bottom of the list;
You will see the Microsoft sidewinder (auto detect) Double click on it.
Now it should detect it and you should be able to use it.
Good luck. I have been using mine for a while now with no problems.

About the SideWInder.... i tried downloading the software for the gamepad from microsoft.. ( the profile activator and stuff ) but when i try to run the compressed exe file, it says that i can't start "Setup"
is there anyway to expand the "Exe" compressed without actullay running it?

Brain_net, if you have winzip right click on the executable and tell winzip to uncompress it
