I posted missing hearts as a 'bug' about 4 months before Windows 2000 was released, alas MS decided not to fix this problem before release.
You can rip the hearts .exe file etc from a Win9x machine but you simply can't play over the network, it's sinlge player only.
I've tried, but I can't see a way to get MS hearts networked under Win2k.

I raised this an MS engineer as well, and he wasn't actually aware that Hearts was wa missing from Win2k. When I explained the problem (that wasn't the real reason I called) he said he didn't know.
I guess as it's not an essential part of the OS they're not too worried.
Let's hope that XP has some more exciting games to play!
