MSI 694D PCI IRQ question
This is a discussion about MSI 694D PCI IRQ question in the Windows Hardware category; I am planning to buy this board, one question for those who own it, how is the IRQ of the 5 PCI slots are share? I know the AGP slot share IRQ with PCI slot next to it, how about the other 4, which one share with each other etc, can anyone post the Information?

hmmm unusual question.
pci irq's should be software independant now.
before the hardeware needed to be programmed for the correct irq. with pnp the os assigns irq and shared irq's. my bios allows me to assign an irq to the usb and the agp. but these are disabled since the os does the irq.
there is 1 nvidia card that wants a bios assigned agp irq, but im not running it (sorry cant remember which)
the os will usually ignore bios assigned irq's which leaves a reserved irq that is always blank.
unless u have a major problem set the bios "pnp os installed" to yes and disable all bios irq assignments. let the os do it all
