Multi-booting
This is a discussion about Multi-booting in the Windows Software category; I'm trying to set a multi-boot system with Windows 2000, Windows 98 SE and Linux Mandrake 7 using 2 HDs. My main HD has W2000, and the slave HD (16GB) has W98 on the begining of the disk, and then the Linux's installation.

I use OSLoader (v2.0) to load the W2000 and the W98 without problems, but I cannot make it to run the Linux, and the Lilo does not accept to be installed because the partition that contains the Linux is not included in the limit of 8GB (cylinder 1024).
I've heard that I must create a little partition (16-17MB) Linux after the partition of the W98 and mount it as /boot (with the kernel and initialization files? how?), and then install the rest of the sistem through the disk, but I am not having success on doing it during the installation of the Mandrake 7.
Could anyone indicate a basic step by step procedure or a How-To that deal with this situation?
Thanks in advance.

I have a couple of links for such a tripple OS boot using the NT Loader (I used a similar setup on my machine)
- http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/mini/Linux+NT-Loader.html
- http://www.dorsai.org/~dcl/publications/NTLDR_Hacking/index.html

- http://www.systemlogic.net/articles/1999/september/multipleboot/
I think this should be enough information on a working multi-OS setup.

I just purchased Macmillan Mandrake Linux 7.0 complete today. Is this what you have. It comes with boot magic. They include it for doing stuff like you are talking about.
