Is there a reason uppgrading to W2K if I know I will be running a lot of 3d tools, dev tools, multimedia apps in the future?? appr.

Not sure if this answers anything or not, but W2K comes with DirectX 7.0a if I'm not mistaken...so it comes pre-loaded with the newest non-beta Directx there is. You shouldn't have to worry about it?
