My sound keeps breaking up in Win2k

This is a discussion about My sound keeps breaking up in Win2k in the Windows Hardware category; I have a AMD400, 196RAM, Diamond TNT2 Ultra, and a Turtle Beach MontegoII Quadzilla soundcard. When I listen to mp3's or something and browse the web at the same time, when a page starts loading my sound starts breaking up really bad, i have to pause it, and hit Play again and then it's ok.

I assume you are using direct sound for the audio out on the winamp plugins list. Just use regular wave outand it will solve your problem. (I had the same problems with a p3 850 a while ago)
