This is a discussion about Need 4 Speed PU onWin2K in the Windows Games category; Obdviosly I am not the only 1 having probs with NFS5 on win2K, if you are running dual cpu,s, you can rule out the duals as a problem, I forced it on single cpu and still the same ****,it does video intro ok then load screen comes up and after 5min it tells me I dont have enough virtual memory (I just gave the bast ...

running dual P3600s tyan tiger 100, 256 meg ram, asus geforce pure ddr, SBlive, adaptec2940, seagate cheetahs, 21in sony 500ps and a 17in sony on ati expert 128 pci

have you tried deleteing or renaming the file "gimmie.dll" in the NFS:PU root dir?
some ppl have reported that doing so fixes the "requires more virtual mem" bug

deleting gimme.dll didnt fix my memory eating problem.
 
specs: celery 366@550, BE6, TNT2 (5.13 drivers. also tried 3.78 and 3.81), MX300 (default 2k drivers), WD 27.3 hdd on highpoint controller, d-link nic.
