Need good modem choice for Win2k pro
This is a discussion about Need good modem choice for Win2k pro in the Windows Hardware category; Ok well my trusty Diamond Supra Express 56i ISA got fried last night in a storm so I need a new modem that works well with Win2k pro. Any suggestions? I want something that is NOT a winmodem, also one that is good with games but also not very expensive.

I saw a creative labs modem blaster 56k isa on sale for like 29 bucks, is that a hardware based modem and does it work well with Win2k pro? Give me your suggestions guys?

If you want something that is going to work 100% well with Win2k you'll move away from ISA as quickly as possible.
Get a PCI one, more expensive yes, but oh so much better.
I also think you'd be hard pushed to beat any USR/3-COM modem, just make sure you don't get the USR/3-COM WinModem (If it doesn't say WinModem in the description of these then it will be hardware).
