Network and 98 and 2k machine.

This is a discussion about Network and 98 and 2k machine. in the Windows Networking category; I have a home network w/3 98 se machines, and one win2k machine. The network works fine, and I seem to be able to use win98SE connection sharing with my DSl, but when I go to browse on the 98 machines, and attempt to enter my 2k box, It asks for a password.

During installation, it prompted you to create a password for the user "Administrator". Use that.

the administrator password won't work, the easiest way to get this work is to enable the guest account

Make sure that on your 3 98 boxes and on your win2k box that u login under the same user name. If you login under the same user name on all the boxes it won't ask you for a password.
