Networking in Win2k
This is a discussion about Networking in Win2k in the Windows Hardware category; I have Win2k Pro and have two NIC's installed, neither of which are sharing IRQs or anything. The one NIC is hooked to my cable modem and works perfect. The other NIC is plugged into a hub, and from the hub it goes to a laptop, and then to another machine.

The other NIC is plugged into a hub, and from the hub it goes to a laptop, and then to another machine. Both of the other machines run 98. The desktop 98 is able to share files and internet, and when turned on will make the Win2k machine show a connection. The laptop, does not, however the link light on the hub turns on. I've moved the laptop cable to all the ports on the hub and nothing works. The laptop sees and can share with the desktop 98 and vice versa. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Details, details...it would make it more easier to figure it out.
Tell me:
- what protocols are you running on every machine?
- did you set up a second network connection for the second card as well?
- what's all that mess with the hub and all, do you have some kind of intranet or something?
