NHL 2001 crash at controller select
This is a discussion about NHL 2001 crash at controller select in the Windows Games category; Hi everyone, I've been working on this a lot of this weekend. My problem is that no matter what I do, when I go into any game setup, and drag the controller over, the game crashes over to the desktop.
Hi everyone,
I've been working on this a lot of this weekend. My problem is that no matter what I do, when I go into any game setup, and drag the controller over, the game crashes over to the desktop. I just got my controller today - before I'd been dragging the keyboard, same result.
I can watch the computer play itself just fine. I have a strong suspicion that it's input-device-related...but I don't think it has anything to do with my gamepad.
Among the things I've done:
- installed win2k sp1
- nhl 2001 1.03
- voodoo 3 win2k drivers 1.03
- tried the act
- tried all compatibility modes (from sp1)
I really want to play this game, and I don't want to have to resort to installing another os! Has anyone seen this before? btw here's my env:
voodoo 3 2000
iwill kk266 + duron 800
512mb ram
ms sidewinder gamepad usb
Regards,
Steve
