Nividia, and SMP in Quake3

This is a discussion about Nividia, and SMP in Quake3 in the Windows Hardware category; What drivers for the Geforce work so that you can enable SMP in Quake 3. Or does SMP not work at all. I would like to know what everyone has been experiencing. . . . .

I haven't got any driver that works stably on SMP machine so far. Usually it lock up my system after a few games, sometimes, a few minute it just lock up my system with continuos repeated sound.

The most stable SMP driver I know of is 3.81.
Still not stable enough if you are really into a deathmatch.

I have not been able toget it working reliably (anything other than demo1 and 2) on r_smp 1 with any other combination than 378 in nt4 sp6

in w2k it has never been reliable 516 gave demo 1 and 2 but unstable in other maps.

i have not tryed 5.22 in w2k so if anyone knows if this works let me know (even though the frame rate increase is not good they really help when there are a lot of players around, as the occasional slowdowns of sever and cliant just stop)

Officially announced by nvidia that their 5.22 does not support smp. well, maybe the next official release might?
