NO IRQ assigned to Voodoo3 under RC2
This is a discussion about NO IRQ assigned to Voodoo3 under RC2 in the Windows Hardware category; I just did a clean install of win2k rc2 after the installation of d3d&glide fix i found there is no IRQ assigned to my voodoo3 thus no d3d or glide game can be ran properly. . anyone has the same problem? know how to fix?.

Don't worry about Voodoo3 having no IRQ.

Being my personal understanding but do video cards NOT need an irq?. I mean an IRQ is an interupt request for the device to interrupt the CPU to perform whatever fuction the device is for. A video card is constantly being used so at what point does it need to interrupt the cpu to USE the video card?
1: Seldzar a video card only need I/O address & Memory address, ATI have build there video card this for yrs.
In same case Yes a Video card dose need IRQ Address but if that Hardware set & not a PnP.
2: At bios boot up
Oh forget to say all other video don't get assigned IRQ as well
i740, TnT, Banshee, ATI, Voodoo3, S3, Tirdent
