I have a Windows 98. My sound is SB16 Audio Device and Windows Sound System Device. My sound used to work but now it doesn't. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the first thing to do is bring up the volume control and make sure that Mute is not checked.

yeah i already did that. There's no conflicts either with the sound. What can it be?

Does Device Manager display any other problems with the entry for your sound card (device driver problem, etc.)?

May sound obvious but it could be something as simple as a loose conection. have you checked your cables?

Sometimes it is the most obvious things that are missed.
Sometimes I froget that I have put my modem on standby and then wonder why I can't connect. lol
