NT4 and Liveware 2.X or higher

This is a discussion about NT4 and Liveware 2.X or higher in the Windows Hardware category; I'm having troubles getting my live to work under NT 4 (with Sp5 or 6). I can install liveware 2 or higher, but can't play wav, mp3's etc. Midi files, cd-sound are not a problem. What's wrong here? I do have the original Liveware 1 installation cd.

I also have Windows 98 and almost everything works fine there.

I have NT4 sp5 with CL SoundBlaster Live and Digital I/O card and DTT2550 speakers. I can play .wav files, but not .mdi or other. I'm ready to try Win 2000. The test works right with the 5 speakers. I also downloaded from CreativeLabs website LiveWire3.0, but it worked OK with 2.1

This makes me curious. There are several people that have this problem. It makes me wonder why.
