NTLDR is missing (ATA66,win2k,BP6)
This is a discussion about NTLDR is missing (ATA66,win2k,BP6) in the Windows Hardware category; I have the following problem: I installed win2k RC2 build 2128 on a Quantum 13,6 KA Gb and the drivers for the ATA66 controllers (HIGHPOINT) and I update the bios for the BP6 (NJ) & ATA controller (1,21) changed the boot sequence into: EXT,C,A (EXT-means UDMA66) but windows is still comming with the message: NTLDR ...
I have the following problem:
I installed win2k RC2 build 2128 on a Quantum 13,6 KA Gb and the drivers for the ATA66 controllers (HIGHPOINT) and I update the bios for the BP6 (NJ) & ATA controller (1,21) changed the boot sequence into: EXT,C,A (EXT-means UDMA66) but windows is still comming with the message:
NTLDR is missing
and PC won't BOOT !! (tried almost everthing)
changed the BOOT.INI (which was placed on: www.bp6.com) but it wonn't work.
Is there anyone who can help me solving the irritating problem ?????????

This is usually a given but I might as well menstion it anyways, it is a bootable drive right? and u did sys.com the drive?
IE
sys c:
(sys = sys.com)
IE
sys c:
(sys = sys.com)
IIRC, RC2 won't boot to an ATA/66 drive during setup.
Put the drive on ATA/33, install then move it back to the ATA/66 afterwards...
